Mr. Weiner is one of the most dedicated teachers I have ever had. Having taken Algebra II with him years ago, I already knew he set high expectations, but AP Calculus really showed me how much he believes in his students. He invests so much time into us, often staying late into the evening to offer one-on-one support and making sure we have every chance to succeed. That dedication motivated me to push myself beyond my comfort zone in math, a subject I have always found intimidating.
What really stands out about Mr. Weiner is that he does not just want us to memorize formulas. He wants us to understand them. He even introduced us to his favorite math YouTuber, 3Blue1Brown, which completely changed the way I looked at calculus.
Even when the material gets overwhelming, Mr. Weiner’s belief in our potential pushes us to keep going. He makes math more approachable, not by making it easier, but by helping us see why it matters and how we can rise to the challenge.
Mr. Weiner does not just teach mathematics. He promotes curiosity, encourages us to learn through trial and error, and helps each student discover what truly sticks.
